Evonik shares data and solutions at China Feed Industry Expo

  • Evonik releases ‘China Raw Material Crop Report’
  • Live-streaming of Alibaba1688 at expo
  • Company to continue to invest in scientific research

Evonik Animal Nutrition showcased a broad range of products and solutions at the 2019 China Feed Industry Expo from 18th to 20th April.

Evonik has published the ‘China Raw Material Crop Report 2018’ providing information about the nutrient content of major feed ingredients. The eighth issue of Evonik’s Crop Report includes analyses of 190,000 samples from China. It was launched at the annual China Feed Industry Expo, and copies are now available from Evonik China sales and technical teams.

The expo, held in Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center, Guangxi, attracted more than 1,000 companies from across China and many other countries. The event’s focus was on the display of new technologies, products and processes related to the feed industry.

Dr. Torben Madsen, Vice President of Evonik Animal Nutrition Asia North, said: “With more than 60 years’ experience as a leader in amino acids and as a reliable partner to the feed industry, Evonik has sharpened its expertise in developing innovative products and delivering effective solutions that improve our customers’ bottom line. But amino acids are just the beginning. We are continually broadening our scope, for example by expanding into healthy nutritional solutions, such as probiotics, which has won the attention and recognition of customers, and many visitors at the expo.”

Evonik also demonstrated its product range through a one-hour online live-streaming session of Alibaba1688. Customers and audiences visiting the Evonik booth got to know all about Evonik products and services, including: MetAMINO® (DL-methionine), DL-Methionine for AquacultureTM, Mepron® (rumen protected methionine), gut health solutions - GutCare® and GutPlus®, handling solutions - AMINOBatch® and AMINOSys® and analytical services - AMINOLab®, AMINONIR®, AMINOProx®, AMINONRG® and AMINORed®.

“In today’s livestock production we face a lot of challenges as well as opportunities. The growing population causes a continuous increase in demand for high-quality food which is of course an opportunity. However, with the limited resources on our planet we must improve efficiency in order to meet the growing demand sustainably,” said Dr. Madsen.

“At Evonik Animal Nutrition we believe science will help us find the answers to this issue – which is why we developed our ‘Sciencing the global food challenge’ slogan. We will continue to invest in scientific research to improve our understanding of nutritional needs of the animals and thereby develop solutions for efficient feeding programs.”
