BETTER KNOWLEDGE, BETTER FEED:
AMINODat® 6.3
AMINODat® 6.3 – the most extensive web-based database for animal nutritionists.
Challenge
Feed represents the single-largest cost factor in producing animal protein. The challenge is to formulate a cost-efficient diet that fulfils the livestock’s nutritional needs. Screening and monitoring of incoming raw materials for feed formulation are indispensable in meeting this target.
Solution
AMINODat®, the most comprehensive animal nutrition database in the world, supports you in mastering the challenge. It comprises nutritional data of more than 870,000 feed ingredient samples from all over the world and over 46,000,000 analytical results. This powerful platform provides nutritional profiles, regression equations, amino acid digestibility coefficients and amino acid recommendations for different species. The continuously updated AMINODat® database covers more than 2,500 feed ingredients. It is the perfect tool to optimize your feed formulations and benchmark incoming feed raw materials.
Working with the data
Put simply, AMINODat® gives you quick feedback on the amino acid content of animal diets. Using the “Diet evaluation” functionality in combination with 90 ready-to-use species- and phase-specific amino acid recommendations, you can easily determine whether the amino acid content of a diet fulfills the animal’s needs and if the amino acid pattern is balanced. The inbuilt amino acid recommendations reflect the latest scientific developments and cover, for example, glycine equivalents for broilers. The tool also supports you in identifying which of the used feed ingredients contributes most to the dietary variation by illustrating the impact of variable feed ingredient quality on the combination of nutrients in the finished feeds. This helps you finetune sampling schedules and improve quality control.
