While the world's population continues to grow and demand for food increases, agricultural land is steadily declining. And food, feed and fuel compete for this arable land. That is why we need more efficient and sustainable methods and products to grow the crops we need to feed the world.
Plants depend on the supply of important nutrients for optimal development. These include macronutrients such as nitrogen, but also minerals such as phosphorus, potassium, and sulfur. With AgraLi® and blueSulfate®, we provide two highly efficient liquid sources for nitrogen, potassium, and sulfur, as well as for general soil improvement.
Both plant nutrition products from Evonik come out of our amino acid production for animal feeds. They are produced in a continuous production process ensuring a consistently high quality. As co-products of our methionine production, AgraLi® and blueSulfate® are sustainable products with a low carbon footprint.
Methionine is an essential amino acid that serves as an important ingredient for animal feeds. Amino acids are the building blocks for proteins and therefore the essence of healthy, growth-sustaining diets. For decades, our company has been playing a pioneering role in the development, production, and application of amino acid supplements for efficient, sustainable, and healthy feeds. AgraLi®
AgraLi® (2-0-12-4)* is a unique liquid potassium fertilizer which can be used in the production of a wide variety of crops for food, fiber, and fuel.
Besides potassium, the compound fertilizer also provides nitrogen needed for plant growth and supplements the necessary sulfur levels. Since the product does not contain any sodium or chloride, it is suitable even for sensitive crops.
AgraLi® is available in a uniform formulation that adapts to all common application and cropping practices. It is used in all tillage and no-till applications as well as in various types of fertigation, and allows for efficient soil management with soil injection, tillage, and targeted fertilization in one step.
Our potassium fertilizer has numerous positive effects: It increases the chlorophyll, sulfur, and protein content of plants; it increases the plants’ tolerance to abiotic stress and helps ensure survival and yield potential; it increases nutrient use efficiency and soil microbiology; it helps regulate the soil pH when applied to soil which improves the availability of soil nutrients.

blueSulfate®
blueSulfate® (8-0-0-9)* is an efficient liquid fertilizer that provides nitrogen and sulfur for plant growth.
The product is suitable for most agricultural crops and industrial applications that require some level of ammonium sulfate. Through slow release of the nitrogen, blueSulfate® allows for a better plant uptake and utilization.
blueSulfate® lowers the pH in alkaline soil. It is an environmentally friendly, sustainable product which saves resources.
